FWKS Server Migration
On Thursday, May 23rd, from 0600 to 0700 UTC we will be migrating the FWKS.filewave.com server to a new network and infrastructure. The outage should have no impact to you unless you are trying to apply a new license key to your server during that 1-hour window, but it will work fine after the window.
- What is FWKS.filewave.com? This is the license server that your FileWave server talks to in order to make sure you have the right licenses and expiration date. It is very important that your FileWave server can reach this server on port 443/SSL.
- What is changing? The IP address will change from 3.92.11.60 to 34.234.134.237. The DNS name remains FWKS.filewave.com.
- What action do I need to take if my server is Hosted by FileWave? No action is needed, but during the outage you will not be able to apply a new license key or update the license key.
- What action do I need to take if my server is On-Premise? If you use a content filter/proxy for your network, you may need to check that you are whitelisting the FWKS.filewave.com server by DNS name or update the IP address to be the new one. This server is included by name in the TCP and UDP Port Usage KB article.
