I'm looking for the best way to update an existing app that is scoped out to a fileset. Is there an option to auto update or is it a manual change or a new fileset?

I was under the impression that apps updated automatically when developers updated the app in the app store, triggering a version difference. We just had a support ticket put in about updating apps, so I'll be interested to see a reply from FW staff.

Hello,

By default, FileWave is configured to automatically update iOS Apps. The App's version is listed in the Fileset. FileWave checks in with iTunes every 24 hours. If there is a new version of the App, the Fileset will update to match iTunes. Your iOS devices are set to checkin with FileWave every 24 hours by default. During this verification, FileWave compares the version of the App installed on the iOS device to the version in the Fileset. An InstallApplication command is sent when these do not match. The device will contact Apple to pull the latest version which will upgrade the App.

If you are having issues with this, please create ticket with Support so we may take a closer look with you.

Regards,
Derek
