We have a problem with our iPads wanting to join our Guest network SSID instead of the School SSID. I know that Apple likes to join a network in alphabetical order and thus the root of our issue.
Our guest network is open - no password to enter - no captive portal screen.
I was wondering if there was a way to push out a non working config for the Guest SSID to stop it from joining? Something like putting in a password where a password isn't needed - would that work?

Hi James

You can send out a wifi profile with an incorrect password on the device and that will cause devices to be unable to join the guest network. The devices will not be kicked off of the wifi but the next time they try to switch and join the guest network they will be unable to. Please try this on a couple of your test devices to see if it give you your desired result. If you are still having issues with this please put in a ticket with FileWave support and we will be more then happy to assist you.

Thanks
Alex

Are you pushing out a profile for your school SSID? From my understanding an iOS device should always pick the most secure known network to auto join.
