Just recently I noticed that my VPP settings in Filewave shows as no token configured even though I have one uploaded and was using VPP for several months. The expiration date is not until the end of 2015 and the synchronize button is greyed out. Does anyone know the proper step to update the token without impacting current filesets? Should I just redownload the token from VPP and use the import function inside the current token?

I have a similar issue. I have an expired VPP token. I want to verify that I highlight the expired token and import the new one "over the top" of the old. It doesn't appear I need to add the new downloaded VPP token.

Hi smolenecs,

To answer your first issue where "no token configured", this is usually due to permissions regarding VPP Tokens. Most people log into FileWave Admin with their own account and use fwadmin to authorize the upload of the VPP Token. The newly uploaded Token will show as "no token configured" until that particular User is given rights to that Token. Here are the steps to give a User permission to view/use a VPP Token.

1. In FileWave Admin, go to Assistants, Manage Administrators.
2. Click Manage VPP Token (bottom left)
3. Enter the superuser name and password
4. Place a check next to any User for each Token you would like them to access (you many need to resize the window to see the boxes)

For renewing a VPP Token, please follow the steps below:

1. In FileWave Admin, go to Preferences, VPP & DEP
2. Click Configure tokens
3. Enter the superuser name and password
4. Click the link for Volume Purchase Program Store
5. Select the appropriate Store, Educations/Business
6. Log in with your VPP Apple ID
7. Click the Username drop down in the top right
8. Select Account Summary
9. Click the Download Token link
10. Return to the Edit VPP service tokens window from FileWave Admin
11. Double click on the Token you are renewing
12. Click Import in the next window
13. Select the file from step 9
14 Click Open
15. Click Save
16. Click Yes - A full VPP Sync will now happen. This may take awhile depending on the number of VPP Licenses and Users you have.

Regards,
Derek
