Hi there,

I'm having trouble uploading a fileset with Office 2008 (about 1.2 GB in size) to our 3.7.6 FW-Server (recently upgraded from 3.0 to 3.5 an then to 3.7.6). Sooner or later when "Copy files to FileWave Server..." starts I'm getting "Error reading data file ..." errors (-3). I've tried to upload the same fileset from different machines including the server itself but no luck. I should note that the file which cannot be read during transfer changes on every attempt. Once I managed to upload about half of the fileset but usually the upload fails after about 10%.

I already restarted the FW-Server-Deamon, compacted the database (error -8 always occurs) and rebooted the FW-Server-Machine itself...nothing changes, upload always fails.

In the Knowledge Database I found a reference to "error -3" but no solution: www.filewave.org/node/269

Hi Lars,

Can you zip up your /var/log/fwxserver.log and email it to us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.? We'll take a look and see if we can figure out what is happening during the course of your upload.

Thanks,

-Dave
