Hi,

here is my setup : FileWave 3.7.5 Server, Admin, Booster, FileWave 3.7.4 Client (pending update). Clients run Mac OS X 10.5.8, Server and Booster Mac OS X Server 10.5.8.

Here is a quick view of my groups hierarchy:

I have an assocation with an "Acrobat 6" fileset and the "All Computers" group.

We just received licences for Acrobat 9, and I added that new fileset, a dedicated group and an association between those two.

We only would install Acrobat 9 on some computers in Paris, so I cloned some Paris client into the "Acrobat 9 Pro" group.

As Acrobat 9 is replacing Acrobat 6, I want Acrobat 6 deleted from the clients receiving Acrobat 9. So I created an association between "Acrobat 6" fileset and the "Acrobat Pro 9_GRP" group with timed inactive and delete tasks (set to now).

End result : Acrobat 9 is being installed thanks to the association and the computer cloning but Acrobat 6 is not uninstalled or inactive.

It could be because the first association between "All Computers" and the "Acrobat 6" fileset may trump the association between "Acrobat Pro 9_GRP" and "Acrobat 6".

But inactive/delete tasks will work if I do the association between the "Acrobat 6" fileset and a specific computer within the "Acrobat Pro 9_GRP".

Does that mean it is not possible to mass delete filesets for a subgroup ?

Is there another solution than create an association for each client ? This would greatly clutter my Admin interface as I try to limit the number of associations as much as possible.

Regards,

Jean-Philippe
