The FWScreenShot allows you to capture screenshots from a “Missing” Windows client on regular basis. The following requirements must be met for you to receive screenshots from a client PC. The screenshots and public IP information of the missing client can be provided as evidence to law enforcement for either recovery or legal purposes.
The Windows client must be marked as “Missing”.
An FTP location must be available for the FWScreenShot to upload to.
The settings.cfg file must be configured inside the FWScreenShot fileset.
The FWScreenShot fileset must be assigned to clients you want screenshots from.
You are the sole person responsible for the use of this utility. This utility is not affiliated with nor supported by FileWave. Do not contact FileWave support as no one there knows anything about it. Depending on the circumstances, use of this utility may be against your company policy, as well as local, state, and federal privacy regulations and laws. Consult your HR department and legal counsel first before using. If you are unwilling to accept personal responsibility for the consequences that may result from the use of FWScreenShot, delete all files associated with it immediately. In the interest of informed consent, you should notify end- users in their End-user Agreement that screenshots may be captured from their Windows computer should they report it lost/stolen or if they fail to return their PC in a timely manner after separating from your organization. This utility should never ever be deployed to an end-user's personal or BYOD Windows device.
