We have Chrome 53.0.2785 deployed to our Mac OSX 10.11.5 1-1 units. We are currently have major issues with Chrome Crashing on Student units (Student are Standard Users) with a 'Not able to ruin KSAdmin' messages. Have tried several things including removing the
rm -R /Library/Google/GoogleSoftwareUpdate
rm -R ~/Library/Google/GoogleSoftwareUpdate
directories on Student units and also sending the
defaults write com.google.Keystone.Agent checkInterval 0
command
with no ucj.
Anybody run into this and have a fix?
Currently have a case open with level 2 Google K-12 Support but wanted to know in the field if anyone has a fix for this annoying error. We have found that rebooting a Student unit will help for a while and also manually signing in locally as our master Admin and letting Chrome run the 'KSAdmin' program will work, but with 2800 units that is unpractical solution to us..

After working with FileWave support we deployed a policy that runs the two scripts listed and after a week it seems to have addressed our Chrome crashing issue on our 1-1 Student MacBooks.

Ksadmin_remove.sh
#!/bin/bash

sudo -u $1 defaults write com.google.Keystone.Agent checkInterval 0

rm -f /Users/$1/Library/Google/GoogleSoftwareUpdate/GoogleSoftwareUpdate.bundle/Contents/MacOS/ksadmin
rm -f /Users/$1/Library/Google/GoogleSoftwareUpdate/GoogleSoftwareUpdate.bundle/Contents/MacOS/ksfetch
exit 0

loginHook.sh

#!/bin/bash

sudo defaults write com.apple.loginwindow LoginHook /usr/local/etc/scripts/ksadmin_remove.sh

We have prompts KSAdmin to login with an administrator password, but doesn't crash Chrome. Does this script resolve those prompts?

Yes, So far this script has resolve the 'ksadmin' prompts, even with Chrome 56.0.2924.50 - which has introduced some filtering challenges in our District as of late....

I am finding that with Sierra 10.12 and Chrome 56.x.x everything worked like a charm.
With Sierra 10.12 or Sierra 10.12.3 and Chrome 59.0.307.86 it isn't going to work as is. It will still delete those files as before but EVERYTIME you restart Chrome, those files are recreated if they are missing. So - restart - files are deleted - open Chrome - files are recreated and then of course you get the infernal ksadmin message again. So deleting those files doesn't really help if they are just recreated when you run Chrome. Argh -- why does Google hate us so.

Good to know as I am prepping the 10.12.5 image for next school year now. Yeah, it certainly does seem like Google wants to make out life difficult.
I wonder what the solution will be this time...Hmmm....

I thought I was good. I had a couple of student using most of what is going to be the new image and even all the way up to Chrome 58 it all worked beautifully. I thought I was going to have a great start this year. ARGGGHHHHHH :-)
I'm testing out a few things -- so far no luck. Hopefully one of us or someone else will come along with a great solution.
