If you include software on your image like Microsoft Office, and then you assign your MS Office fileset to it that you made with Fileset Magic, does self healing still work since the fileset was not the one that put the files there?
Thanks in advance! We are just getting started with FileWave imaging.
By default, files in filesets have self healing turned on ; so if you associate any fileset to a device, FileWave will make sure that the state of the device disk matches the content of the fileset ; upon verification, FileWave client will check files and disk. Each file not matching will be downloaded and reverted to the fileset expected state.
So in your case, yes, Office will be self healed - just make sure the files have the right verification flag (the small trap I always fell into is that you need to click the 'apply' button to apply changes if you do them at the fileset level - as this is pretty sensitive we wanted to make sure you really want to do the change).
If there are a few files you want to let as they are already, you can still change their self healing behavior without touching the other ones.
