Hi

Actually if a fileset have option reboot, that kill all app and made a instant reboot .

Wee really need a simple option like Install on shutdown or install on boot to simply make a global update without writing application file when user use the application.

this is a real emergency for us.

When you have an emergency, it is best to call-in for support to get the most rapid response.

Contact info is at www.filewave.com/en/about-us/filewave-europe

If you want to make a reboot happen without any notification given to end users, you can deploy a script in a fileset with the command

shutdown -r now

This command reboots the computers right away. End-users cannot save their work and no notification is given.

our objective is to install a fileset in shutdown or on boot.

we canot send an application if all user use it, and we cannot send 300 notification to our user (or our call center will fall).

as well force to reboot is not our choice

to deploy our update in sweet way the better choice is on shutdown.

thanks

Hello,

if we have something like that, we set "Activate at" for this fileset to a time all users are expected to be logged off. (e.g. Monday - 6 a.m.)

So the software will be installed at startup.

Maybe this helps.

Regards

Hi

the problem is " all users are expected to be logged off"

that never true, and difficult in big workstation park.

if some application are opened with some file not saved.

that why the sweet way and easy to develop is install on boot or shutdown.
