FileWave™ Backgrounder

The FileWave Company, founded in 1999, develops, sells, integrates and supports the FileWave™ and Asset Trustee™ software management tools throughout the world from its locations in Europe and the USA. These products focus on the distribution, collection and management of information within a corporate network environment.

FileWave (Europe) GmbH of Wil, Switzerland and FileWave (USA) Inc. of San Francisco, USA, are wholly owned subsidiaries of the holding company FileWave International Holding AG of Wil, Switzerland.

The company is privately owned and finances its own growth both in respect of design, development and its international activities. Its resources are fully commensurate with its strategic business plans and forecasts. Sole rights to the FileWave™ and Asset Trustee™ products were purchased outright at company formation time from the original developer, the Wave Research Corporation of Belgium.

The FileWave™ and Asset Trustee™ products, first marketed in 1993, are installed on more than 700,000 Apple Macintoshes worldwide. Development work is carried out by teams in both Switzerland and the USA, with training and consulting centers in both of these countries.

FileWave’s customers can be found in all major industries and the list includes enterprises in the graphics, publishing & advertising, government and services, educational, retail, telecommunications, healthcare, banking and entertainment industries.

FileWave markets its products in Europe, Japan and the USA through a network of selected partners, qualified to deliver the high-quality support and expertise necessary for these demanding markets. In countries where no partner of sufficient caliber has yet been found, FileWave sells and supports its products itself.

FileWave’s customer base continued to expand considerably, adding a string of famous names to the company’s list of customers – names such as IKEA, Mercuri Urval, Random House, marie claire, FOCUS, HBO and Viacom.
